Shark Safety Diver Guide!
Last week, Ahmed Inah, one of the world’s foremost experts in tiger sharks, joined our vessels (Maldives Blue Force One and Maldives Blue Force 3) to conduct an exclusive Shark Safety Diver Guide course for the Blue Force guide team.
Tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) are among the largest shark species in the ocean, known for their distinctive stripes and powerful build. Often referred to as the “garbage cans of the sea” due to their varied diet, they are apex predators found in tropical and subtropical waters around the world. These sharks play a crucial role in maintaining the health of marine ecosystems by regulating prey populations and ensuring a balanced food chain.

Although Blue Force has been diving with all kinds of sharks for over 25 years, there is always something new to learn when you collaborate with the best and most experienced professionals. The training emphasized not only safety protocols but also a deeper understanding of tiger shark behavior, allowing the team to foster safer and more respectful interactions with these magnificent creatures.
The Blue Force dive guide team, adhering to the principle that safety comes first, remains dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate about improving and expanding their knowledge of shark interactions to provide unforgettable and safe experiences for divers.
